A major farmers association in the US uses GRAIN (Global Risk Agricultural INtelligence) monitoring and forecasting solution.

GRAIN is a partnership effort combining the agro-meteorological expertise of ZedX, Inc. with our know-how in satellite image processing and crop analysis.
This service lets customers in the U.S.A. keep a daily check on crop status, but that’s not all: GRAIN also provides yield estimates based on daily agro-meteorological forecasts and crop vigour maps derived from satellite imagery acquired at key dates to enable farmers to refine their yield forecasts.

GRAIN serves as a basis for an economic simulator based on yield forecasts and other parameters allowing the Farmers Association to negotiate purchasing terms with buyers.
