Pléiades-2 completed electromagnetic compatibility and environment testing at the end of June.
These tests replicate the conditions the satellite will encounter in space. One of them involved deploying one of the three solar panels. This operation will be performed in space just after reaching orbit.
To provide stiffening and to dampen vibrations that can affect image quality, the three solar panels are mounted directly on the bus structure.
Pléiades-2 will begin thermal testing in September.
